The Sinai offers high adrenaline adventures in the interior as well, not only on the coast. Rock climbing is getting discovered, and there are other adventure sports as well.
There are many impressive granite rock faces around the town of St. Catherine and a few in other places.

There are a handful of operators who offer services in the region, and sometimes experienced climbers with own equipment do it independently. In St. Catherine it can be done without too much logistics but to more remote places a guide and camels are needed. Most trekking operators and independent guides can provide support.
